- This information is relevant to ANZ Transactive Cash Asia users as part of the upgrade to ANZ Transactive - Global. ANZ Transactive Cash Asia will not be available post May 2025.
- Details are currently based on requirements for customers in Hong Kong and Singapore. Details for other jurisdictions will be available in the coming months.
This article details the features you currently use in the Collections menu in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia and the changes you need to know about when you upgrade to ANZ Transactive – Global.
The delivery of features will be provided in a phased approach, and the content will be updated from time to time to reflect the most up-to-date and relevant information.
In ANZ Transactive – Global, you will be notified of the receipt of funds in several ways:
- Subscribe to receive a Credit Advice (via email and/or in-channel notification) when funds are credited to your account in User Settings > Notifications and Alerts:
- Generate a Credit Advice report for immediate use
- Schedule a Credit Advice report to be sent to you via email on a regular frequency
Additionally, amounts credited to your account are visible on your account statement.
For Hong Kong dollar and Singapore dollar denominated accounts, inward transactions up to USD500k equivalent that require FX conversion will be processed without manual processing by the bank, meaning that more of your inward payments will reach your account without being delayed.
Where foreign exchange is applicable for funds received and the amounts involved exceed USD500k, you will be contacted by an ANZ dealer to arrange the associated FX.
ANZ Transactive Cash Asia allows you to create a direct debit mandate both on screen and via a file upload. This facility will not be replicated in ANZ Transactive – Global, instead ANZ will create direct debit mandates on your behalf. View your Inward Mandates in the Payments > Inward Mandates screen.
Changes to a direct debit mandate should be addressed to the biller directly.
A Mandate Report is available in ANZ Transactive – Global and provides information about your current and historical direct debit mandates. The Mandate Report can be generated on demand or scheduled to be emailed to you on a regular frequency. In ANZ Transactive – Global, you can enable an Inward Mandate Updates email notification so that you are notified when a Mandate is Created, Modified, Cancelled or Expired.
In ANZ Transactive – Global, you will subscribe to receive debit advices in User Settings > Notifications and Alerts.
The Debit Advice is an advice informing you that funds for a payment processed through ANZ Transactive – Global have been deducted from your account and includes Transaction Details and Remitter Details. In addition, you can also refer to your account statement to identify direct debit deductions from your account.
The ANZ Transactive – Global virtual account solution is Supplemental Account Services.
- Partial Match: Virtual account processing uses the account number and excludes unique payer identifiers (Payer ID). When a transaction is processed at ANZ, the funds are credited to the corresponding physical account. The unique Payer IDs are included in the transaction details within the account statement narratives.
- Full Match: Virtual account processing uses the account number along with the unique Payer IDs. When a transaction is processed at ANZ, the funds are credited to the corresponding physical account. Additionally, account statements can segment transactions based on the virtual account Payer ID while also retaining these details within the narrative descriptions.
- Virtual Accounts: Virtual account numbers remain linked to a physical account and continue to function as before. Your existing virtual account numbers in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia will be moved to Supplemental Account Services and there’s no need to inform your payors of any changes to account numbers.
- Context ID: An optional range or set of extended virtual account numbers linked to the virtual account (e.g., payer identifiers, policy numbers or invoice numbers) to enable payment-level tracking. Context IDs can also have names, unlike in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia. Context IDs align with the ‘Full Match’ business scenario using Payer IDs in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia. This new terminology will now appear in certain reports.
With Supplemental Account Services, the ‘Context ID’ feature allows, in the ‘Full match’ scenarios, additional information (e.g., ‘Reference 1’ to ‘Reference 10’ fields) to be linked to each virtual account transaction. The ‘Virtual Account Transaction Status Report’ from ANZ Transactive Cash Asia has been replaced by the ‘SAS Context ID Transaction Report’. This report contains payment details, including date, amount, virtual account number, Context IDs (if used), and associated references – facilitating the matching of transactions to debtors accounts.
Supplemental Account Services also introduces an alternate reconciliation approach. Reference fields, along with the virtual account number (and Context ID, if applicable), can be used directly from the transaction narrative in the physical account statement. While this approach requires maintaining a mapping between virtual account numbers and debtors, the use of virtual account reference information offers a viable alternative for reconciliation if mapping is not feasible.
- Singapore Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 77xxxxxxx
- Hong Kong Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 99xxxxxxx
- India Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 99xxxxxxx
- Vietnam Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 99xxxxxxx
- Philippines Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 99xxxxxxx
The narrative changes are described in the Inward payment narrative for Virtual Accounts article.
The updated narratives will be implemented in Supplemental Account Services’ virtual accounts, following the change schedule outlined in the Inward payment narrative changes article.
