To approve a payment that is in a Pending Approval status, follow the steps below.
You cannot approve a payment that you created unless you have Allow Self Approval entitlements
Use Method 2 to approve several payments at the same time
Where multiple roles set conflicting approval discretion values for a payment type, the lowest approval discretion value will apply. Please refer to your company administrator to confirm your User Permissions.

Go to the Payments > Current Payments screen

Click View > Payment For My Approval from the Control Bar to view all payments Pending Approval. If required, you can further refine the payments on screen by using Filter or Sort:
Use Filteron the Control Bar. Enter criteria into one or more text boxes that are under each column heading to display matching records.
Sortcolumns by clicking on the column heading. The column will reorder in ascending order. Click again to order in descending order.

Use one of the following methods to display the Approve Selected Payments pop-up window:
Method 1: Right-click on the payment and click Approve on the Context Menu
Method 2: Select the payment(s) and click Actions > Approve on the Control Bar
Method 3: Click on the payment in the list to display the Payment Details screen and then click Approve on the Control Bar
RESULT: The Approve Selected Payments pop-up window is displayed. Note that you will only see security device instructions if this is the final approval.

Review the payment details:
If this is not the final approval, go to Step 5.
If there are no security device instructions on screen, it is not the final approval.
If this is the final approval, go to Step 6

Click Approve
RESULT: A confirmation message is displayed advising that the payment(s) has been approved. It will remain in a Pending Approval status until all approvals are obtained.

For final approval, you will need to digitally sign the payment in order to send it to the bank for processing.
ANZ Digital Key
Follow the instructions on screen to:
Approve via a Push Notification
Follow the steps below to approve a request using a push notification and the ANZ Digital Key app on your mobile device.

Tap on the ANZ Digital Key notification on your mobile device to launch the ANZ Digital Key app

Tap Log On and authenticate access by entering your PIN, Face ID or Fingerprint ID
RESULT: Details of request requiring approvals will be displayed.

Review the pending request details shown in ANZ Digital Key and tap Accept to accept the request, or Decline to decline the request.
RESULT: The request will be processed and completed. Close the app as no further action is required.
Approve via a QR Code
If you did not enable Notifications when you activated ANZ Digital Key, follow the steps below to approve payments via ANZ Digital Key:

Tap Scan QR Codeon the screen
RESULT: ANZ Digital Key will switch to camera mode. Use the camera to scan the request approval QR Code from your desktop or laptop computer.
If you are experiencing difficulties scanning the QR Code, please:
ensure the entire QR Code is visible before attempting to scan the QR Code (you may need to scroll down)
try moving your device closer or further away from your screen
adjust the brightness of your camera

Review the pending request details shown in ANZ Digital Key and tap Accept to accept the request, or Decline to decline the request.
RESULT: The request will be processed and completed. Close the app as no further action is required.
Token
Follow the instructions on screen to:
Step 1: Generate your authorisation code
Step 2: Enter your authorisation code
Step 3: Click Approve
RESULT:
If the payment does not require a dynamic rate, a confirmation message is displayed advising that the payment has been submitted and the payment status changes to Processing
If the payment requires a dynamic rate, the payment status will change to Needs Rate. A user will need to Get Rate before the payment is submitted for processing.
You will receive an error message if our records show incomplete identity verification information registered in the jurisdiction of the domiciled debit account. Please contact ANZ and arrange to submit additional information. Your selected payment(s) are not approved.
AU Domestic payments submitted to ANZ for processing between 6pm to 7:30pm Melb/Syd time will incur a Late Lodgement fee.
