Important information about Cash Withdrawals
- These instructions are specifically for Cash Withdrawals managed via a domestic ACH payment.
For all other ACH payment specifics, please refer to Create ACH Payment (Vietnam). - Registration for Cash services via ANZ's partner banks is required.
Please contact our Client Service Team at Toll Free Number 1800585838 or email us at clientservicesvn@anz.com. - An instruction to withdraw cash via a partner bank's counter is required to be submitted to ANZ one day in advance and before ANZ cut off time (15:00 for instruction authorised from ANZ electronic channel).
- Cash withdrawals can be collected from the following locations:
- VND - Available from all branches in BIDV network
- FCY - Available from the following locations:
- Ho Chi Minh City: Vietcombank, Ho Chi Minh Branch, 5 Me Linh Square, Ben Nghe ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Hanoi: Vietcombank, Tran Quang Khai Transaction Center Branch – 198 Tran Quang Khai, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi.
- Please inform ANZ when submitting the cash withdrawal instructions if amount exceeds:
- Five (5) billion VND in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi,
- Three (3) billion VND in other locations,
- Equivalent of one (1) billion VND in foreign currency
- Partner bank will pay cash to the beneficiary at their counters provided that the ID or Passport matches the information in the payment instruction and the Beneficiary completes procedures required by the partner bank.
- If Beneficiary information in the payment instruction is incorrect, please inform and provide ANZ amendment instructions, and allow ANZ to contact the partner bank to try and resolve.
- If the Beneficiary does not collect the cash at a partner bank’s counter within the timeline stipulated by Partner Bank, the Partner Bank will refund the cash amount to ANZ. ANZ will credit the funds back to the Customer’s account and debit a refund fee as imposed by Partner Bank.

What is a Cash Withdrawal Payment?
Cash Withdrawal allows you to transfer funds from your Vietnam domiciled account registered to ANZ Transactive – Global, to an authorised beneficiary, to withdrawal funds in cash via a counter of ANZ’s partner banks in Vietnam. The nominated recipient is required to collect the cash from the nominated ANZ's partner banks in Vietnam.Payment method rules for Cash Withdrawals
- Beneficiary name must be identical to the supporting ID or Passport of the nominated recipient.
- Beneficiary account must be in the form of the ID or Passport number of the nominated recipient.

Beneficiary bank must be one of the following two options:
- VND: NHTMCP DAU TU VA PT VN (BIDV) with Domestic Clearing Code 01202003
- EUR or USD: NHTMCP NGOAI THUONG VN (VIETCOMBANK) with Domestic Clearing Code 79203001
- Remittance Information: Mandatory details are required in a specific format. Refer step instructions.
- Transaction narratives for Cash Withdrawals will appear in payment reports with an ACH prefix.
- Value date will default with the current or next business date if the payment is created on a non-business date or after payment cut-off
- Non-business day - ANZ Transactive – Global will not allow you to create a payment where the Value Date is a non-business day (e.g., weekend, public holiday, bank holiday) or a currency holiday
- Future value date can be selected up to 90 days
- Cut-off time for cash withdrawal payment is 15:00 ICT, one day in advance
- Payment currency is EUR, USD, VND
- Maximum payment value is FCY 99,999,999,999.99 or VND 9,999,999,999,999.99
- Maximum number of payment instructions is 30,000 for a bulk payment, and 5,000 for an itemised payment.
- Invalid Character rules apply to this payment type.
Who can create a Cash Withdrawal payment?
- Eligible users with Payment Management role permissions and account access can create and manage an ACH payment based on your organisation's predetermined user permissions and payment settings. These role permissions can include:
- Manage Payments - Adhoc (Adhoc & Approved Beneficiaries)
- Manage Payments - Approved Beneficiary / Templates
- Manage Payments - Import Payments

- Cut-off time (near the value date) indicates the payment method cut-off time, based on the originating jurisdiction and payment currencies
- The time zone and format (near the value date) are displayed as per your Settings & Preferences

- My Beneficiary ID is a unique beneficiary identifier. The field is enabled when you tick the 'Add this Beneficiary to your Beneficiaries when the payment is submitted' checkbox. The My Beneficiary ID is visible in the Beneficiaries screen.

Create a Cash Withdrawal payment
There are multiple ways you can create a Cash Withdrawal domestic payment using the ACH payment method type from the Payments menu. Choose from the following options:
- Click Create Payment > Domestic Payment (see step-by-step instructions below)
- Click Create Payment > Use Payment Template
- Click Create Payment > Use Payment File
- Click Create Payment > Use Past Payment
- Click Current Payments > New > Domestic Payment (see step-by-step instructions below)

To reduce the risk of fraud, ANZ recommends you always confirm beneficiary details when processing a payment.

Click Add to add one or more beneficiary details using the following options: Add Beneficiary from your Beneficiaries list
Search and select the Beneficiary from the Beneficiary Name field, then proceed to next steps. If required, click Add again to add additional beneficiaries.

Errors and Alerts
Error and alert messages such as 'fields validations' display information about the impacted field(s) and highlights the field(s) in red. Error messages are specific to the payment method types, fields available and particulars validations. You can update the information within the impacted field(s) and continue processing the payment.

- Error is indicated by a red triangle. Details must be corrected to proceed with payment processing.
- Alert with Warning is indicated by an amber triangle. Details can be corrected or accepted to proceed with payment processing.

Next Steps
When the payment has been successfully submitted and is now in a Pending Approval status, you can choose from the following on-screen options:
- Request Payment Summary Report - Download in CSV, PDF and XLSX
- Save Payment as Template - View in Templates menu. Use Payment Template.
- Create Another Payment
- View this Payment in a Pending Approval status
- Click OK to close the payment and return to the Current Payments screen
When the payment has been successfully submitted for approval(s), the next steps can be:
- Approve Payment for processing or,
- Reject Payment back to the initiator for editing or deleting
