This article details the changes you need to know about when you upgrade Virtual Accounts from ANZ Transactive Cash Asia to ANZ Transactive – Global.
The delivery of features will be provided in a phased approach, and the content will be updated from time to time to reflect the most up-to-date and relevant information.
The ANZ Transactive – Global Virtual Account solution is Supplemental Account Services.
Partial Match virtual account numbers include the full account number, excluding the unique Payer ID. When a transaction is received at ANZ, funds are credited to the physical bank account. The unique payer identifiers are available at a transaction level in narratives on the account statement.
- Controlled Accounts: virtual account numbers are linked to the physical bank account, for the same legal entity. Overall, funds belong to the physical account holder. In most cases, Controlled Accounts can be opened, maintained and closed on the virtual account platform.
- Context ID: a range or set of extended virtual account numbers attached to the Controlled Account, e.g. payer identifiers, a policy number or an invoice number, to allow payment level tracking. These are optionally employed. Context IDs are similar to the ‘Full Match’ Payer Identifier in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia.
When adding new Controlled Accounts in ANZ Transactive Cash Asia, you can add up to 6 meaningful labels to be associated with a virtual account transaction: ‘Payer Code’ and ‘Narrative 1’ to ‘Narrative 5’. In addition to the Context ID facility available in ANZ Transactive – Global, information in ‘Reference 1’ to ‘Reference 10’ fields can be associated with each virtual account transaction.
The ANZ Transactive Cash Asia ‘Virtual Account Partial Match Narration Report’ has been replaced by the ‘Context ID Transaction Report’. For each payment received where a virtual account number has been used, these reports provide details of the payment (date, amount, virtual account number), Context IDs (if used), and/or any references associated with the virtual account number to allow the transaction to be matched to the debtors account in your account receivables.
In ANZ Transactive – Global, an alternate approach to using reference fields will be to reconcile directly using the virtual account number (and Context ID, if used), which is also provided as part of the transaction narrative on the physical account statement. This approach requires that you maintain the mapping between the virtual account number and debtor. If this not feasible, using virtual account reference information can provide a solution.
- Singapore Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 77xxxxxxx
- Hong Kong Transactive Cash Asia virtual accounts starting with 99xxxxxxx

ANZ Transactive Cash Asia did not provide an e-mail credit advice for transactions received for a virtual account. In ANZ Transactive – Global, e-mail advices are available for Controlled Accounts. Credit advices will include the Context ID used by the payer.
