Payment processing & cut-off times:

Payment processing and cut-off times vary and are determined by the geography where the payment originated, the payment method type, and the payment currencies. 

• Cross-currency Payments - The cut-off time is determined by the currency the payment is being made in. For non-business days, contracts should be booked for the next valid business day. Payments submitted before the cut-off time will be processed with the same value date stamp by the payment clearing bank subject to:
  • ANZ receiving the correct payment data,
  • The payment does not require manual intervention or repair,
  • It passes regulatory requirements, and
  • A foreign exchange deal has been booked before the currency cut-off of the earlier currency pair involved.

Value Date:

In ANZ Transactive - Global, the execution / value date will always be a business date*. In the event a payment has missed the payment processing and cut-off time, your payment will remain in a processing status until it is processed on the next business date. The payment will appear in the Current Payments screen in an Approved Status, pending bank processing.

*Some payment types are processed in near real-time from Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day, including public holidays. Please refer to the geography and payment types below.

Daylight Savings Time:

Some ANZ locations recognise Daylight Saving Time (DST). The cut-off times will automatically be adjusted in the system.
