About Transaction Analysis
Transaction Analysis in ANZ Transactive - Global aggregates transaction data from your accounts to display cashflow patterns and trends, providing you with a comprehensive view to assist with payment and cash flow decisions.
You can perform the following functions in Transaction Analysis:

View balances, cash inflow, outflow and net cash flow by:
- Balances in Reporting Currency.
- Cash Position by Month.
- Cash Flow by Month (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected).
- Cash Flow Comparison by Period. (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected).
- Cash Flow by Day of Month (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected).

Customise your view by selecting:
- Date range (for up to 24 months).
- Account(s).
- Compare transactional data on a month-on-month and year-on-year basis to identify trends. (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected).
- Export data into CSV format for advanced analysis.
- Analyse cash flow data through a chart, table or card view.
Transaction Analysis data is refreshed as recent as the previous business day.
The control bar allows you to manage your dashboard content based on your filtered selections, such as account and date range.
Account and Currencies will default with all accounts and currencies; date will default with last 12 months.
Accounts and Currencies - Choose from:
- All accounts,
- Select the required account(s), or
- Select the required account(s) grouped by currency.
Date Period - Choose from:
- Last 6 Months,
- Last 12 Months,
- Last 24 Months, or
- Custom date range - use the Date From and Date To fields to select a specific date range. Data is available for up to 24 months prior to latest date for data availability.
Reset Filters - click this to return to the default view which will display the latest 12 Months of balance and transaction information for All Accounts.
Click the export icon from the widget to save the CSV file to your preferred location.
There are five widgets available and are presented on your dashboard. These widgets provide balance and cashflow trends across selected accounts within the selected date range.
- Balances in Reporting Currency
- Cash Position by Month
- Cash Flow by Month (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected)
- Cash Flow Comparison by Period (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected)
- Cash Flow by Day of Month (Available when account(s) across a single currency are selected)
Your widgets can be customised to suit your preferences. Use the icons across the top of each widget to customise your view.

- Currency selector (Only available when foreign currency acount(s) are selected.)
- Download - click to download data to CSV file
- Information - click to show detailed information regarding the widget
View options:

- Hover over the graphs to view detailed information for the selected data point.
- Select/Unselect the legend to alter the chart view to focus on selective chart data points.
Displays closing balances and opening balances aggregated and displayed in the currency of Australian Dollar (when accounts across more than one currency are selected), or respective account currency for the selected accounts across a selected date range.
When Foreign Currency account(s) are selected, select display Australian Dollar or respective account currency.
A summary of balances will display as the total AUD balance across the selected accounts and currencies. Each currency displays its percentage share of the overall total, and indicates changes between the selected start and end dates:
- Increase is displayed in Green.
- Decrease is displayed in red.
Displays monthly cash position with opening balance, closing balance and netflow cash position for selected accounts across a selected date range.
When a single Foreign Currency is selected, select display of Australian Dollar or respective account currency.
- Opening/Closing Balance: Displayed in blue, is the opening and closing position for the month.
- Positive Net Cashflow: Displayed in light grey, is the positive next cashflow for the month.
- Negative Net Cashflow: Displayed in dark grey, is the negative cashflow for the month.
Displays cash inflow, outflow, and net cash flow aggregated monthly for the selected accounts across a selected date range.
- Cash Inflow: Displayed in green, is the total value of credit transactions each month.
- Cash Outflow: Displayed in orange, is the total value of debit transactions each month.
- Net Cash Flow: Displayed as the black through-line, is the difference between monthly cash inflow and outflow.
Displays cash inflow, outflow, and net cash flow aggregated monthly for the selected accounts across a selected date range with benchmarked year-on-year comparison.
- Inflow: The total value of credit transactions each month.
- Outflow: The total value of debit transactions each month.

Net Flow: The difference between monthly cash inflow and outflow.
Year on Year – select between Cash inflow, Cash outflow or Net Flow. The display will adjust for a year-on-year comparison.
Information is presented in two charts:
- Line graph - Displays current period flow (shown as solid line), compared with the previous period (shown as dotted line)
- Bar graph - Displays flow increase and decrease as a percentage. This Year-over-year (YoY) change calculates the difference between values for selected period to previous period (12 months prior to selected period) values. This difference is divided by the previous period value to produce the YoY percentage.
Cash inflow, outflow, and net cash flow calculated daily and aggregated over 5-day intervals for selected accounts and selected date range.
- Cash inflow: The total value of credit transactions each day.
- Cash outflow: The total value of debit transactions each day.
- Net cash flow: The difference between daily cash inflow and outflow.
