About APIs (Application Programming Interface)
APIs via ANZ Fileactive connect your systems directly to ANZ, allowing your organisation to exchange individual, timely and higher frequency messages with ANZ Institutional services in near-real time on a 24/7 basis. This allows more frequent communication and faster actioning of some requests. *
APIs are a host-to-host STP (Straight Through Processing) connection (same as files), allowing your system to push the data/request to Fileactive directly by HTTPS. At ANZ, APIs complement Fileactive’s file-based connectivity.
APIs support products and services that require data to be exchanged in near real-time such as:
- Payments
- Time-critical status updates
- Event-based requests
- Real-time intraday account statement activity
Fileactive's API format and rules do not use converters or workflow. They perform a specific function in a standard format that you can build your application to.
* Other than scheduled downtime or unplanned outages.
