Beneficiary and Address Book updates

International Payments are changing 

Changes are being introduced to enhance data quality and facilitate compliance with global regulatory and screening requirements for international and RTGS payments. As a result, beneficiaries and parties used for international and RTGS Payments may require additional information to be provided to ensure they can continue to be used beyond November 2026 when global payments regulatory requirements will take effect.

ANZ Transactive Global Beneficiaries​

This change will impact the minimum level of information that needs to be provided for beneficiary address information when sending international and RTGS payments via ANZ Transactive.

What's changing?  

• Unstructured address formats will be phased out globally
• International Beneficiary address information must include City and Country/Region details

What do you need to do?

1. Identify all beneficiary records in ANZ Transactive Global used for international payments, and any RTGS/SCP payment beneficiaries that include address details.

2. Review address details for each beneficiary record to ensure the City and Country/Region fields are populated.

   How to identify beneficiaries that may be non-compliant

   International beneficiaries

   In the Beneficiaries screen, a warning icon appears next to international payment beneficiaries that require attention, including records with incomplete address information. Hover over the warning icon to identify the information that needs to be updated.

   

   1. Export and filter the Beneficiaries list
      If your organisation has a large number of beneficiaries, export the Beneficiaries list and use Excel filters to create a targeted list for review: 

   2. Right click a column heading and select the Address Line 1 and City checkboxes if they are not already selected.
   3. Click Export on the Control Bar to export the records into a CSV file, then open the exported file in Microsoft Excel.
   4. Filter the Division Name column to display the Divisions you would like to review.
   5. Filter the following columns to identify records need to be reviewed:
      • Warning
      • Address Line 1 (not applicable for RTGS/SCP payments)
      • City
   6. Arrange for any missing address information to be updated.
       

   RTGS/SCP beneficiaries

   If the following warning appears in the header of an RTGS/SCP payment, "Beneficiary City and Country are required and will be mandatory from November 2026", update the missing address information for these records in your Beneficiaries list.

   If you create payments using a file, update the beneficiary details in your ERP and ensure your payment file contains the required address information.

ANZ Transactive Trade / APEA Payments - Address Book

This change will impact the minimum level of information that needs to be provided for party address information when sending international and RTGS payments via ANZ Transactive Trade / APEA Payments.

What's changing?  

• Unstructured address formats will be phased out globally
• International Party address details must include City and Country/Region details

What do I need to do?

1. Click on the Reference Data menu, Select Address Book to see a list of all saved parties

2. Review address details for each party record and update any records missing the City in address line 3 and Country/Region fields:
