PayTo® hub - Initiate Refund menu
The Initiate Refund menu lets you search for PayTo payments that have been credited to your nominated account and initiate a full or partial refund. From this screen, you can view PayTo transactions processed within the last two years. Each transaction represents a payment collected under a PayTo agreement with your customer.
To locate specific transaction(s), you must include the Settlement Account Number, Value Date, and exact transaction Credit Amount and any other optional fields available.
Once you have found the relevant transaction, you can select it to begin the refund process. Any refund you initiate will then require one approval with ANZ Digital Key before it is sent for processing.

| Refresh | Refresh the records on screen. |
| Settings |
Use Settings to turn on or off the Toggle Accessible Grid. Turn on this setting to interact with the grid using a keyboard to support your preferred screen reader. You can use keyboard buttons such as tab, space, or enter to move to the next row, screen, or action button. |
Search
To complete any type of search, the Settlement Account Number, Value Date and exact Credit Amount must be entered. Searches on fields that are left blank, will return all available data for that field. Each search field has different criteria that can be entered or selected from an existing list.
- Credit Amount: Must be exact transaction amount
- Date values: Choose from Specific Date (up to two years) or Date Range (of up to three months)
- Account values and string values: Equal To

| Settlement Account Number | The account where the original PayTo payment was credited. |
| Value Date | The settlement date of the PayTo payment. |
| Credit Amount | The exact transaction amount in the original payment. |
| Debit Account Name | The account name of the debit account from the original PayTo payment. This name will be used as the creditor name on the refund. |
| Mandate ID | The unique PayTo Agreement (Mandate) ID that references the agreement authorising the payment. |
| End to End ID | The customer-supplied reference included in the original PayTo payment. |
| Transaction ID | The clearing system reference supplied from the PayTo payment (MPIR) outcome. |
| ANZ Instruction ID | The unique identifier generated by ANZ for the PayTo payment. |
A Mandate Payment Initiation Request (MPIR) is a request submitted by a PayTo hub to initiate PayTo payments based on an underlying agreement.
