Which users are given access to Periodic Payments?
User permissions mirror Payment Templates entitlements so if a user can currently only View Payment templates, they will only be able to view Periodic Payments.
When does a Periodic Payment need to be approved?
- If your organisation has Approval Required for Templates selected from Administration > Other Settings > Division Details Screen, then the Periodic Payment schedule requires approval
- If the active Periodic Payment is edited and your organisation has Approval Required for Templates selected from Administration > Other Settings > Division Details Screen, then the Periodic Payment schedule requires approval
- For each scheduled instance when the Periodic Payment is due, the Periodic Payment instance requires approval from the Current Payments screen or Pending Approvals workspace widget
Why can I approve a payment created from a periodic payment schedule when I do not have 'Allow Self Approval' entitlements?
The system automatically generates the periodic payment instance up to seven days before the value date. Therefore, the ‘Allow Self Approval’ entitlements does not apply.
What types of Periodic Payment reports are available?
Periodic Payment Audit Report - From the Periodic Payment screen, select a periodic payment from the list. From the View Periodic Domestic Payment screen, click Reports > Periodic Payments Audit Report to generate a .CSV report.
When is a payment instance created?
A payment is created from the schedule seven days before the Value Date unless there is less days between the Start Date and Next Run Date.
How does the Periodic Payment schedule handle non-business days?

How can I tell which payments are periodic payments?
The Template Name for periodic payments starts with “PPY”:
Can I receive a notification when the Periodic Payment is awaiting approval?
Yes. You can enable 'Transactions Pending Authorisation' from your Alerts and Notifications settings.
Can I stop a Periodic Payment schedule?
Yes. To stop the Periodic Payment schedule from generating any more payment instances, you can Delete the Periodic Payment. The schedule will appear in the Periodic Payment screen with a deleted status.
