Processing & cut-off times

Payment processing & cut-off times:

Payment processing and cut-off times vary and are determined by the geography where the payment originated, the payment method type, and the payment currencies.

• Multibank Payments - While ANZ Transactive – Global can accept multibank instructions 24/7, payments will be processed according to the processing times of the bank which holds the account.
• Cross-currency Payments - The cut-off time is determined by the currency the payment is being made in. For non-business days, contracts should be booked for the next valid business day. Payments submitted before the cut-off time will be processed with the same value date stamp by the payment clearing bank subject to:
  • ANZ receiving the correct payment data,
  • The payment does not require manual intervention or repair,
  • It passes regulatory requirements, and
  • A foreign exchange deal has been booked before the currency cut-off of the earlier currency pair involved.

Value Date:

In ANZ Transactive - Global, the value date will always be a business date. In the event a payment has missed the payment processing and cut-off time, the payment will automatically move to the next business date. The system intuitively disables non-business value dates, i.e., weekend, public holiday, bank holiday, (unless otherwise stated) or a currency holiday.

Daylight Savings Time:

Some ANZ locations recognise Daylight Saving Time (DST). The cut-off times will automatically be adjusted in the system.

Warning messages:

When attempting to approve a payment that has passed or nearing cut-off, the approver will receive a warning message similar to the below:

• "This payment has passed the cut-off time for the Value Date. By proceeding to approve this payment, the Value Date will automatically roll over to the next valid business date."
• "One or more transactions within the batch submitted are approaching cut-off and may not be processed on the selected value date. Processing on selected value date will be on best efforts basis."

If the payment contains multiple payment methods, the time displayed is the earliest cut-off time within the payment.

Web application

Within the web application, the payment cut-off time is displayed near the value date field in a payment instruction and within the payments grid cut-off time column.  The time zone displayed is specific to your User Settings and Preferences.

Mobile application

When using the ANZ Transactive - Global mobile app, the cut-off time is displayed in the payment time zone.
