About Economic Pulse Plus
Economic Pulse Plus in ANZ Transactive – Global is a conversational AI assistant designed to simplify the exploration of Economic Pulse consumer spending data.
It delivers instant answers, guides you through key features, and surfaces Economic Pulse data without having to navigate the standalone Economic Pulse menu.
Economic Pulse Plus presents concise summaries of Economic Pulse data, allowing you to ask specific questions and receive tailored responses without having to navigate menus or search by individual criteria.
The Economic Pulse Plus screen will display a sample result showing year-on-year consumer spending trends for Australia for the previous 26-week period. This preview demonstrates the type of output the assistant can generate once you submit a query or prompt.
Prompting in Economic Pulse Plus allows you to enter a question or instruction about consumer spending trends in Australia. The assistant will return relevant data and display it as a chart, graph or table.
Unlike a standard web search, Economic Pulse Plus uses a conversational approach. You can:
- Ask specific questions.
- Refine your query.
- Ask, “What can you do?” to see available options.
- Clear and specific prompts will help return more accurate results.
Enter a prompt – either a question or instruction about consumer spending trends for Australia.
For example: 'Show me the spending of Food/Drink industry in 2024, compare to 2023'.
Click Send or press Enter on your keyboard.
The assistant will respond with tailored insights, charts and summaries based on the information you provide.
If you need more information about the returned results, you can ask prompting questions or instructions like:
- What can you do?
- Help me find spending data for Queensland.
- Explain this chart.
- How did you calculate this?
- Be specific - provide clear instructions such as spending or industry category, timeframe, state or region.
- Ask follow up questions to refine results.
- Start fresh – start a new chat or prompt when switching topics.
- Check for accuracy – always check responses and references for accuracy and clarity.
- Don’t enter personal or sensitive information when prompting.
Prompt examples:
- Show me retail spending trends in Victoria for 2025.
- What was the impact of end of financial year on spend?
- Compare jeweller spending in Sydney vs Melbourne.
- Compare the spend in groceries and consumer electronics over the last 8 weeks, broken down by week.
After submitting a query or prompt, the assistant will display one or more of the following elements:
- A text summary explaining the consumer spending data returned.
- A chart visualising key trends.
- A table showing detailed figures.
These elements are generated based on your input and are designed to help you quickly interpret the data.
Charts can be customised to suit your preferences. Use the icons across the top to switch between chart, line or pie views.
