Economic Pulse utilises ANZ's retail spending data to provide a visual Dashboard to allow for a greater understanding of Australian consumer spending habits.
The Dashboard displays the Economic Pulse Summary Panel and charts determined by the Location selected.
- Please note that Data Insights is only available to view using a Chrome browser
- The data in Economic Pulse is updated daily providing data up to two days prior (refreshed on Mondays for data up to the previous Saturday)
Economic Pulse Summary Panel
The Economic Pulse Summary Panel shows key information based on the selected Time Range and highlights the year-on-year consumer spending across an Industry at a State or National level.
Filters
Filter the data displayed in the Dashboard by:
- Last Full Week
- Last 1 week (Friday to Thursday)
- Last 4 weeks
- Last 12 weeks
- Last 26 weeks
- Last 52 weeks
- Custom range
Comparison Year
- Select the comparison year from the drop-down list
- National
- ACT
- NSW
- NT
- QLD
- SA
- TAS
- VIC
- WA

- SA3 (or Statistical Area Level 3) is an Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) term referring to the 358 geographical areas that cover the whole of Australia. Statistical Areas are used by the ABS to standardise statistical data.
