From 9 May, users will be asked to provide mandatory consent before their behavioural biometric data is collected during login or related sign-in activities.
This data helps identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity by detecting behaviour that does not appear human, normal, or trustworthy.
Behavioural Biometrics consent is required to use ANZ Transactive – Global and associated applications. Consent is only required once, unless a new version of the consent wording is introduced.
All collected data is encrypted, not directly linked to an individual user profile and can only be decrypted by ANZ’s dedicated Fraud team if a fraud alert is triggered.
The data collected does not include:
- Fingerprints
- Facial images
- Photos or recordings
Data collected is related to behavioural signals, including:
- Typing patterns
- Scrolling behaviour
- Mouse or touch movements
If you wish to have your previously recorded biometric data erased, please contact the Client Service Centre for further assistance.
Please note: the Accept button will only become available once you have scrolled to the bottom of the consent message, ensuring that all important information has been reviewed.
