About Role Management
The Role Management screen lists system and custom roles, showing the permissions for each role. Company Administrators can create and edit custom roles. Click on a role to view or edit its permissions, like Reports, Payment Management, Receivable Management, Template Management, Payee Management, and Service Requests.
- Right-click on a row to display the Context Menu where you can select the following actions: View, Edit, Copy, Delete, Approve, Reject, View Audit History or generate a Role Details Report
- Click on a row to view the Role Details screen
Control Bar
CONTROL BAR ITEM | DESCRIPTION |

View | Change the View to view All roles or Deleted roles. |
New | Click New to create a role. |
Approve | Approve an action made to a role |
Reports | Click Reports to request an Role Details Report for one or more selected roles. |
Actions | Use the Actions menu to perform an action on a selected role: View, Edit, Copy, Delete, Approve, Reject or View Audit History. |
Group | Group data on the screen by predefined criteria. |
Filter | Filter data on the screen. Enter criteria into one or more text boxes that are under each column heading to display matching records. |
Export | Export the records on screen into a CSV file. |
Refresh | Refresh the records on screen. |
Settings | Use Settings to save the View and Group selected. |

Role Name | The unique name of the role. |
Role Description | A brief description of the role. |
Role Type | The type of role. This can be System (managed by ANZ) or Custom (self-managed). |
Status | The status of the role. |
User List | Click on View Users to display a Users with <role name> Role pop-up window that contains a list of all users who are entitled to the role. |
Role Statuses
The status of a role describes the last action that was performed on the role by an Administrator.
WORKFLOW | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
Pending Approval | The role has been created or modified and requires approval from another Administrator before it can be assigned to users or before the modifications are implemented. |
Pending Approval - Delete | A Delete action has been performed on the role that requires approval from another Administrator. The role cannot be assigned to users. |
Approved | The role is able to be assigned to users. |
Deleted | The role has been deleted and cannot be assigned to users. |
Role Details
To view role details from the Role Management screen, select a role in the list. The Role Details screen groups a role’s information into the following categories:

Role permissions detail what a user can do in the system and are grouped into categories i.e. Reporting, Payment Management, Receivables Management, Template Management, Payee Management, Payer Management, Self Service and Contract Management. For more information on Role Permissions, click here.

View Audit History | Displays a View Audit History pop-up window that shows the actions performed on a user by an Administrator. Click on the action hyperlinks to view event history information.
Audit History is only available for custom roles.
