Full details are available in Features by Geography.
About Account Transfer payments

What is an Account Transfer?

An Account Transfer allows you to transfer funds between two of your ANZ accounts registered to ANZ Transactive Global within the same Customer ID, and same geography as the debit account. You can transfer funds to your foreign currency account also domiciled under the same Customer ID, and same geography. Account Transfers are available for same-border, same-currency, and same day near real-time processing up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Currency holidays are considered if FX is involved.

Payment Method Rules for Account Transfers

Who can create an Account Transfer?

  • Eligible users with Payment Management role permissions and account access can create and manage an Account Transfer payment based on your organisation's predetermined user permissions and payment settings. These role permissions can include:
    • Manage Payments - Ad hoc (Ad hoc & Approved Beneficiaries)
    • Manage Payments - Approved Beneficiary / Templates

Users with more than 1000 accounts, may need to use the Previous or Next arrows on the screen to search and select the debit/credit account when creating a payment.

For more information, please refer to Role Permissions and User Permissions.

Dynamic*
  • Transactions above USD 500,000 (using indicative rate) cannot use Dynamic for the following currencies: AED, CHF, CNY, DKK, FJD, INR, NOK, PHP, SEK, THB, ZAR.
  • Transactions above USD 5 million (using indicative rate) cannot use Dynamic for the following currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, SGD, USD.

Obtain real-time foreign exchange rates for cross-currency payments. Once the payment is approved, it moves to a Needs Rate status. A user with appropriate user entitlements can then Get Rate to lock in the real-time dynamic rate.

  • A list of supported currencies for each jurisdiction is available in the Processing & cut-off times article.
  • Certain currencies require the use of a foreign exchange (FX) contract instead of a dynamic rate. For more information, refer to the Cross-Currency Payments section in the Processing & cut-off times article.

*A non-transactable daily mid-rate (which does not include a margin) has been used to estimate the transaction value for the purpose of approval discretions and available funds checking. The actual exchange rate for the transaction will be displayed when a trade or contract is applied to the payment request.

Auto Trade*
  • Transactions above USD 500,000 (using indicative rate) cannot use Auto Trade for the following currencies: AED, CHF, CNY, DKK, FJD, INR, NOK, PHP, SEK, THB, ZAR.
  • Transactions above USD 5 million (using indicative rate) cannot use Auto Trade for the following currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, SGD, USD.

Apply a dynamic rate to the payment without performing the Get Rate action. ANZ will automatically convert the amount selected into another currency at an exchange rate that is automatically generated and applied, without requiring further confirmation from you.

*You acknowledge and agree that when "Auto Trade" is selected, you are authorising the Bank to convert the amount selected into another currency at an exchange rate that will be automatically generated and applied without further confirmation from you. The exchange rate applied will be the rate that applies when the transaction is successfully executed and may not be the same as the indicative rate applied when this instruction was selected.

Contract
  • To obtain a FX Contract, contact your local ANZ Markets dealer. Contracts will appear in ANZ Transactive Global for selection after they have been booked.
