About eKYC
eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is a digital process that allows you to verify your identity online - quickly, securely, and without visiting a branch.
Eligible users can complete identity verification using a mobile web browser by:
- Logging in to a secure portal,
- Uploading or scanning an accepted ID (passport, ePassport or driver’s licence),
- Taking a live self-portrait (“selfie”) for biometric verification.
The system cross-checks the ID and biometric data within seconds using a secure data aggregation service.
How eKYC works
eKYC must be completed on a mobile device by following the below steps (smartphone or tablet):
- Email Invitation: you will receive an email with a secure link
- Open link on mobile: open the link using a mobile web browser
- Capture ID: uses your device's camera to take a live photo of a valid ID document (passport or driver’s licence)
- Review details: review and confirm your personal details
- Biometric check: take a live self-portrait (“selfie”) for verification
- Data matching: Your ID and biometric data will be securely validated against a third-party system
- System integration: once verified, your KYC details will be automatically updated in ANZ's systems, granting access to Transactive Global
