Security Awareness
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, and this year's theme is ‘Building our cyber safe culture’. We encourage you to take three simple steps to safeguard yourself and your business online:
- Install all software updates to keep your devices secure
- Use a unique and strong passphrase on every account
- Always set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)
For more information on how to protect yourself from scams, visit the ANZ Security Hub.
ANZ Fileactive
Currently customers in Hong Kong, India, Philippines, and Singapore must recreate and submit payments that fail due to Insufficient Funds.
From 13 October, ANZ will begin retrying payments that fail due to Insufficient Funds on your behalf. The Insufficient Funds Retry feature applies to all payment types, however please note:
- Payments involving Foreign Exchange (FX) and/or itemised debits will be rejected at the end of the day.
- All other payments will stay in an Insufficient Funds status until ANZ retries them. In this event, the value date updates to the current date, and the transaction is released for further processing. Response file for payments in an Insufficient Funds status will be sent after payments are actioned by ANZ.

Currently customers in Hong Kong, India, the Philippines, and Singapore must manually perform the Resubmit action for payments that fail due to Insufficient Funds. These payments do not require additional approvals but must be resubmitted before the cut-off time on the same value date. If not resubmitted in time, the payment status automatically changes to Bank Rejected.
From 13 October, ANZ will begin retrying payments that fail due to Insufficient Funds on your behalf. Once funds are available, you can either:
- perform the Resubmit action manually, or
- wait for ANZ to process the payment for you.
The Insufficient Funds Retry feature applies to all payment types, however please note:
- Payments involving Foreign Exchange (FX) and/or itemised debits will be rejected at the end of the day.
- All other payments will stay in Insufficient Funds status until you Resubmit or ANZ retries them. In this event, the value date updates to the current date, and the transaction is released for further processing.
From 13 October, Know Your Customer (KYC) validation will be required for all approvers and users who perform the Get Rate action in each payment/direct debit account jurisdiction. Currently, validation is only for the final approver. Please note:
- This applies to all payment types, excluding Multibank payments.
- Users without a KYC ID for each payment/direct debit account jurisdiction will not be able to approve payments or direct debits.
- KYC is not required to Reject a payment or direct debit.
If you need to update your KYC requirements, please contact your local Customer Service Centre.
From 13 October 2025, users in India will be able to create a Cash Withdrawal Payment, Tax Payment and Term Deposit Request using new payment types available in the Create Payments screen within ANZ Transactive – Global.

Each payment type includes a unique identifiable Payment Type Code and will be displayed in the outward payment narratives and reports.
